Mini Bikes

We were so lucky this morning that Mr Durham (yes, Mrs Durham's husband) brought in their son Klynton's mini bikes that he made at Freyberg High School.  Klynton built the green one and found the blue one in a rubbish bin at his after school job.
When Klynton raced his bikes at Manfield, he won all three races.  He even broke the lap record!!

Thank you so much to the Durham's for showing us Klynton's bikes and to Mrs Cobham for organising the visit.

Happy Birthday

We have two birthday boys today in Aroha Pod.  We hope you both have a wonderful day and special birthday weekend.

Priceless

We are having a lot of visitors come through today from another school to see how we run our Pod environments.

Absolutely priceless moment when a visiting teacher is on the floor having a race with the speed stacks because one of our students has taught her how to do it.

Thanks for great teaching Brendon and thanks for great racing Tyree!

Also, as a hook in to our Creepy Crawlies Inquiry - we will be watching A Bugs Life.  Again, this is a G rated movie.

Ag Day Displays

We are having lots of questions about whether we sent home a newsletter regarding what our students need to bring in for their displays.  We haven't sent home a newsletter as we will be supplying (minimal) all the students need but if you wish to donate more to the resources - we would gladly accept it.

The students will be using coloured plasticine, feathers, bamboo kebab sticks and hessian string.
